President
Winnie Carey (She/Her)
Hi! Iʼm Winnie Carey and Iʼm in my fourth year at Asper . I've always noticed a distinct lack of queer representation in the faculty and the business world as a whole. When I was asked to be on the UMQAS team it was the perfect chance to fix that. I am also part of the Rainbow Pride Centre executive team and am the queer representative on CSA. Involvement in the community and seeing queer empowerment in education and business has been so fulfilling and I canʼt wait to bring more of that into our faculty. We want to make Asper known as a safe space on campus and highlight queer businesses to bring Pride into Asper.

Rudhtra Prabaharan (She/Her)
Hello! I’m Rudhtra and I am the incoming Vice President of UMQAS. I am in my first year at Asper and plan to major in accounting. I’m thrilled to be joining UMQAS as a means of providing a platform for more inclusion and representation for queer students at Asper. I’m looking forward to all the things we will be planning in the future!

Hi, I'm Yosi Jacobowitz, the Director of Marketing for UMQAS. I'm a fifth-year marketing student, passionate about blending my queer identity with my professional aspirations. UMQAS has been instrumental in helping me find a sense of community, and I hope to provide that same safe space for others within Asper. I'm excited to connect with more queer students and allies throughout the school year and continue building a supportive network.

Hi! I’m Gabrielle and I’m the Director of Events for UMQAS! I’m excited in getting to know other like-minded individuals from the queer community in Asper and to advocate for more 2SLGBTQIA+ representation in the faculty!
